Family Sitting Fees

Sitting Fee is $75
I charge that fee whether we are in my studio or we are outside. I prefer the outdoors and more casual family photos.
During the 45 minutes we are together, I will pose you and your family in at least five different poses.
I enjoy taking pictures of the parents separately and then photographing children together. If you have a family pet, I strongly encourage you to include your pet. After all, they are a part of the family, too.
The outdoor locations depend on the time of day and the type of location you would like to use.
I have a 40-acre meadow with a pond and dock that I sometimes like to use for sunset pictures. I have a country lane if you would like photos of the family walking. There are numerous locations throughout the area that are ideal for family photographs. All of these locations are on public property.
In photojournalism school I was taught to shoot a lot of film so you have a lot of images to choose from. Since I made the switch to digital two years ago, I have learned to take a lot of pictures in a short amount of time. I go through your proofs and put only your very best images up on your password protected proof site. The images remain on your proof site for one year.

Senior Portraits

If you haven't had the opportunity to take a look at the website, do so, and you will see why the high schools seniors of Northeast Kansas say that First City Photo is the fave.
Our Sitting fee is $75 for 45 minutes time with as many clothing changes and different locations as we can squeeze in, taking as many as 200 photos.
The best part of this photo shoot is that I make it FUN! We get in my tahoe and drive to locations where you and your clothes will look the coolest. Look at the senior website and you will see that the clothes are coordinated with the backgrounds. I'm a photojournalist by degree, with a very well-trained eye for what looks good! If it isn't real, I don't use it. I know if I feel hokey posing you with it, you are certainly going to look the part in the pictures.
After the shoot is over, I edit your photos for only the best. These proofs are put on your password protected site and are kept there for exactly one year for you and your friends and family to view.
Yeah there are a lot of photography studios out there charging more, but they are just trying to trick you into their game of the higher the price the better the look and that is not the case at all.
